The Database on Non-Native Tree Species was developed as a concept and prototype by the ALPTREES project in 2022 as part of a project undertaken for the Sustainable use and management of non-native trees in the alpine region. The concept is constantly revisited and expanded by the editorial team of the NNT HUB. The compiler team conducted a comprehensive lit review of authoritative and credible source information and develop this inventory of non-native species in forests and in urban areas of Europe.
